Marine Fuel oil and Gasoil

We offer an extensive range of quality products including, but not limited to RME 180, RMG 380, RMK 500, and Marine Gas Oil (MGO), as well as low sulphur products such as Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (380 CST) and Low Sulphur MGO.

 

QUALITY MEASUREMENTS AND INSPECTION

Work carried out in addition to storage and transport are: inspection, quality measurement, reporting and verification. An independent observer on board shall determine the quality and quantity of the product and during unloading are taken representative samples. 

LUBRICANTS

We source our marine engine oils and lubricants from only the best manufacturers and suppliers. Hence you can rest assured that our lubricants offer superior performance and quality. We know the engine is the heartbeat of a vessel. Be it high performance, environmental-friendly or anti-cold corrosion, we have the right product for you. What’s more, we can offer white-label OEM lubricants with your own brand and specifications. We manage the blending and testing, so you can concentrate on marketing the finished product.

Apart from Trading on fuels, we are able to provide a dedicated brokerage model for bunker deliveries in Netherlands. Depending on your requirements, SBT B.V can act as trade brokers. This option allows for transparency and objectivity, and a neutral standpoint while maintaining the closest contact between the physical supplier and the buyer.

A swap agreement enables you to lock in future prices for a specific time period.

    There may be opportunity costs if the market price falls below the Swap Price.

    As Swap is not integrated with physical supply, the Customer may face basis risk.
    Maximum Price Agreements (Caps)

    Maximum Price Agreements (Caps)

    Maximum price agreements are optimal if you would like to set up a ‘price ceiling’ against a volatile market.





    Advantages



    Customer is able to protect the potential price risk in future, while allowing for downside benefit if prices fall.

    Customer receives money if actual price exceeds cap price


    Disadvantages



    Requires upfront premium costs.

    As Cap is not integrated with physical supply, the Customer may face basis risk.
    Fixed Forward Collar (Collars)

    Fixed Forward Collar (Collars)

    A combination of a call and a put option, collars are designed to hedge your fuel’s exposure by locking prices into a certain range.





    Advantages



    No upfront premium required.

    No payments required if prices remain within the band, or ‘Collar’.

    Customer is able to protect the potential price risk in future, against rising market with certain put level.

    Customer receives money if actual price exceeds ceiling price.


    Disadvantages



    Customer pays if actual prices falls below the floor.

    There may be opportunity costs if the market price falls below the Put Level.

    Tank Storage management

    Scheldt Bunkering & Trading B.V operates independent storage units for NWE cargoes and allowing suppliers to effectively avoid demurrage: we lease storage tanks of 160 000 tons and more. Risks related to docking inland water fleet with marine fleet are minimized. We provide at instant fuel storage at in the Rotterdam Europoort area. The objective of our organization is to adapt to its customers 'strategies, by providing tailored services, based on a strong commercial relationship.
